I mainly see folks in therapy for work around relationship to body and food, Body Trust work, and disordered eating/eating disorders. Our work together in therapy sessions will revolve examining your history with your body, retelling your narrative, and rebuilding in-born trust with your body. I base my work on multiple theories and practices including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Body Trust®, Health at Every Size®, and intersectional feminist theory (Kimberle Crenshaw), and theories of embodiment. My job? To use my intuition and knowledge of oppressive systems to best support you and to help you reclaim trust with your body. Your job? To be the expert on yourself and the driver of the therapy goals and sessions.

Please see the FAQs for a list of topics I work with and/or refer for.

Mental Health Therapy: About

I cannot accept insurance for therapy services at this time but am working on getting credentialed with a few insurance companies now that I am fully licensed. There is a good chance that your insurance company could reimburse you for out of network services, and I could provide you with a superbill. You just have to call your insurance company and ask what your OON (out of network) benefits are, and how much they reimburse to see and out of network LMHC.  I can however take HSA cards.

If you were hoping to work with me on topics surrounding food, body, Intuitive Eating, and Health at Every Size, it is likely that we can still work together under my nutrition counseling credential for which I can take insurance. We will discuss the details in a consult call and you would need to check with your insurance company about nutrition benefits. Head on over to the Nutrition Counseling page for more information.

Consultation Phone Call (15 Minutes)-  Free

If you are interested in working together we will have a video call to help us determine if we are a good fit for one another, talk about scheduling and frequency, and determine best course of action.

Initial Session (90 Minutes)- $315

The initial session involves taking a detailed intake, getting to know each other, and setting goals for our work together. A 75-90 minute session is required in order to give ample time to form a solid foundation, review the important paperwork, and give us a map of where to go in our sessions.

Ongoing Sessions (50 Minutes, or longer)- $180 per hour

Ongoing sessions are usually 50-60 minutes but can be longer if we decide together that this is more appropriate for you.

Equity Pricing and Sliding Scale
I acknowledge the intentional systems of power that create privilege and access or lack thereof and that I benefit from. Therapy has historically been a luxury for white, able-bodied, cis-gender people in higher socioeconomic groups and these systems of inequity and power have specifically barred access to wellness services and health care in general to Black, Indigenous, People of Color, Queer/Trans folx, and disabled folx. I have a limited number of sliding scale equity-based pricing slots which are available in order to attempt to create some push back to these systems. Folx who identify as Black/brown/POC, Indigenous, disabled, LGBTQIA2S+, low-income, or fat will be given priority for sliding scale spots. Clients that are able to pay the full fee help provide a sustainable model for those that cannot afford it.

Please disclose in your initial contact that you are seeking one of the sliding scale spots and I will let you know if any are available.

*Please note: Currently my lowest sliding scale offering is $90 per hour. I understand that this is still very inaccessible for some people and hope to offer even more accessible rates in the future.
